10:30 - 12:00 am
All of our services are family focused, with everyone starting together before the children leave for age appropriate worship and teaching.
Worship is varied in style and content. Sung worship is modern and vibrant, accompanied by one of our talented music groups, which encourage musicians of all ages, a variety of instruments, youthful leaders and a wide range of songs.
Our services always contain a very strong element of Bible teaching with a practical application for Christian living today. We ask the Lord to inspire services where we can bring friends and family, safe in the knowledge that they will have an experience of church that will encourage them to want to learn more about the love of Jesus.
The leader of the service usually leads the public prayers and our news sheet always includes prayer requests. Prayer leaders are available after the morning service for anyone to receive specific prayer support and encouragement as needed.
“All-Age" services are held bi-monthly, with an emphasis on families and young people taking part. There are no children’s groups on these occasions but a creche is available for children under 3 years old.
We love having children in our services, but if you feel like they might be causing a distraction then we have a special sound-insulated room just for you. There you will find toys and books, and the service can still be seen and heard.
We value fellowship with each other and to that end, we serve complimentary refreshments before and after the
morning service. And sometimes... there's cake!
Bring & Share Lunch
Follows the morning service
Once a month we have a bring & share lunch, which is increasingly popular and mixes up the generations in an amazingly successful way! Don't worry if you haven't brought anything, there's always plenty to go around.
Afternoon Communion Service
4:00 - 5:00 pm
The Afternoon Communion Services on the second Sunday of the month complement the morning worship in that they are quiet and reflective. They give those who gather an opportunity to meditate and appreciate the centrality of the Lord's Supper.

We have a thriving Sunday morning Children's ministry 'Promises' made up of three age groups with up to 30 children attending regularly. We have a wonderful team of leaders and helpers who are passionate about giving children the opportunity to connect with the Bible, giving them a grounding in how it all fits together and how God's grand plan came to fruition and why this is important and relevant for them.
On Sunday mornings, all the children and leaders share a time of singing and dancing together, before separating into the three groups for teaching, craft and activities.
We take child safety very seriously at HBC. All of our volunteers are DBS checked and we run regular safeguarding training.

Hereford Baptist Church are committed to supporting young people in their life journeys, to engage with them in relevant ways, to accept them regardless of their response to faith, to be partners with them in discipleship and to equip them to enter into all that God has for them.
We long to see young people come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to develop a level of maturity in their faith and to share in the extending of God’s kingdom.
The youth group meet during term time, on Wednesday evening. This is often within the church building but can also include trips to local attractions or just down to the local park/football fields.
We have two groups for young people during our morning services: Pulse (years 7 to 9) and Impact (years 10 to 13). The groups meet following a time of worship, for about an hour.
At least once a month, the youth band use modern worship music to connect with God, engage with theology and scriptures and express our emotions and spirit through song.
We have developed a network of weekly small group meetings with various interests such as study groups, hiking, craft and CVM. The aim is to deepen and develop Christian community and fellowship, and they have enabled us to relate to one another and to form meaningful friendships within the church as it grows.
There are occasional opportunities to be part of a small group including participating in a Life Worth Living course, Parenting course, Marriage Course, The Alpha Course, Membership and Baptismal Courses.
Activate is for women of all ages in the church and aims to inspire Christian women to take God’s love into the community.
Throughout the year we hold events that are a starting point to help Christians build meaningful relationships with those in their ‘circle of influence’ whether in the workplace, home or at leisure. These events are great opportunities for new people in the church to get to know other women in relaxed surroundings. There is also a weekly 'Dance Fit' exercise class held every thursday evening on church premises.
HBC partners with the national men’s ministry Christian Vision for Men, which seeks to equip both churches and individuals at grass root levels to live action-packed, Kingdom-based lives in today’s modern world.
CVM offer a vast array of resources and ideas for events, many of which we have used at HBC. These include meals out, games evenings, film nights, karting, cider tasting, bike rides etc, as well as events with a more focused spiritual angle such as Breakfasts with a visiting speaker and CVM Regional Days with seminars where HBC has been the host venue.
Wednesdays, 10.15am - 12 noon
Men and women over 50 are welcome to this club. After a time of happy chatter over a cup of tea or coffee, family news and general announcements, there is a varied programme of guest speakers, quizzes, musical presentations - something of interest for everybody.
Thursday lunch times from 12 to 1.30pm
This is a luncheon club for Senior Citizens where there is an opportunity to meet with others and relax over a well-cooked two-course meal, freshly prepared on Church premises.
Cost £3 per meal.
The hiking group meet once a month on a saturday morning to explore and enjoy our local countryside with members of the church and other friends. The walks are usually around 6 miles over varied terrain, sometimes challenging and sometimes less so, but always good fun. If you'd like to join our walk please contact Mike Coleman or the church office for more details.
