The highlight of January 2020 was definitely the intoduction to basket weaving by Clyde of Wildwicker. Clyde only uses willow twigs and branches from plants which he has propagated and grown himself. The beauty of a finished basket lies in its smooth feel, natural colours and sturdiness. Besides baskets, willow is also ideal for creating many other forms of practical or ornamental items. A special aspect of willow weaving is its therapeutic value. You can’t rush it.
