October’s highlight truly belongs to Penny Platts. Her presentation “Travel in Iran” was outstanding. History, culture and especially the friendly welcome given to her by the ordinary people left a deep impression on us all. What could the world be like without wars and hatred among nations.
After travel in a hot country November will transport us into Antarctica and the Baltic. What contrasts!

This Month’s Programme

6th November
Susanna Grunsell – “Walking in Antarctica”

We have been invited by many speakers over the years to join them on a variety of impressive walks. Antarctica is most definitely a new experience.

13th November
Alan Lloyd – “The Lady Hawkins School”

Alan has been a frequent guest speaker on Wednesday mornings. His fount of local knowledge and experience has always impressed and surprised us.

20th November
Mair Granthier – “Night Shift”

At the stroke of midnight on a Saturday night, Hereford Baptist Church opens its doors until 3.00am Sunday morning to welcome folk who are out on ‘a night on the town’ – to meet friends, wait for a taxi, to chillout or to find a quiet spot in all the hustle and bustle.

27th November
Open Morning

The talk on the Cruise in the Baltic has been postponed to 19 & 26 February 2020 to allow more time.

Wednesday Club is HBC’s social group for young people over the age of 50. For more information visit herefordbaptist.org.uk/wednesday-club or contact the church office.
