The weather forecast for Saturday, 15th June was not great but the slight drizzle stopped just as we arrived at Llanthony Priory (founded in the 12th Century) and ten hikers and three dogs enjoyed what turned out to be a lovely morning.

We headed south, almost to Cwmyoy and then skirted around the base of Hatterrall Hill, climbing up to Offa’s Dyke path, along a ridge with dramatic clear views to east and west before descending again to Llanthony, about 8 miles in total. Many thanks to Alison G for leading us on this occasion.
