Rev. Steve Ansell
Sermon – Sunday, 31st March 2019
Open Mornings have proved to be a wonderful opportunity for members to share with us their special interests. So it was in March when Ian Haines introduced us to a small part of his extensive collection of often rare coins, such as 50p coins with the wrong number of sides, or 20p coins without a date. Just handling old pennies and farthings had its special fascination, and the history behind many of the coins made us listen in wonder.
In February, HBC Hikers started from Sutton St Nicholas school and walked a circular route of around 6.5 miles in good weather, via Hawkersland, Preston Wynne and Sutton Walls. Thanks to David P for leading.
