The Rose Garden
Rose Garden Servive
The Rose Garden Village is a complex of 91 apartments situated within the city, (some rented, some privately owned) for retired people aged over 55. It aims to encourage independent living and therefore has many communal facilities, such as restaurant and bar, library, woodwork shop, hair dressing salon, fitness gym, IT/technology suite and many others.
We have been responsible for setting up and running regular Sunday worship at The Rose Garden from the time the first residents moved in, in September 2008. We aim to serve the Christians and not-yet Christians there by offering a variety of gifts and styles drawn from among those from our own church who have offered to help, and also by developing contributions from other churches in the city.

Our Associate Minister, Niels Waugh, leads a group of 3 couples who provide the core leadership

At the start of 2009 Niels was also appointed as The Rose Garden Village Chaplain.
The Rose Garden Church is for Rose Garden residents (and their guests), staff and voluntary workers together with the team members leading worship on the day. Our average weekly attendance in18/20, and we are encouraged as we see God’s blessing on this great opportunity to serve Christ among senior adults.
