Children & Young People

Crèche @ HBC
Crèche
During a 10.30am Sunday morning service there is a crèche available at the back of the church for children under 3 years old to be looked after, while their parents enjoy the service. The children can be dropped off to the crèche at any time during the service. They have lots of fun building with bricks, creating with play dough, and cooking in the play kitchen, whilst within a safe and friendly environment.
Sparklers
When the children are old enough, and ready, they can move up from the crèche to the sparklers group. This group can take children from about 2 ½ until they are nearly 5 years old. They meet most Sunday mornings during the morning service, except family services.
In sparklers children begin to look at stories from the bible in a fun and child-friendly way. There are lots of things to do and make as well as listen to or participate in a story. The children are also offered a drink and a biscuit during their time together.

The Zones
The Zones
If you are aged from 5 – 11 (Year 1 – Year 6) then on Sunday mornings ‘The Zones’ is the place for you to be.
We meet in the large hall, at the back of the church, after the first part of the service. It’s a chance to meet with friends and to make new ones. We enjoy listening to Bible stories, playing games, crafts, drama and other activities which help us to learn more about Jesus. We have a team of leaders and helpers who work with us each week.
Please come and join us, we would love to see you.

Young People @ HBC
Young People
We have a number of Sunday groups for all ages.
Years 7 to 10 work through the Rock Solid 2 material and for years 11 & 12 there will be Mettle groups. Rock Solid 2 and Mettle are the material produced by Youth for Christ.
Year 13 will meet once a month for teaching and support relevant to their future University education or Career.
Monthly Youth Power Cells will also be a feature of Sunday afternoons and Afterchurch will be for those in years 10 and over to meet (as the name suggests) after church some Sunday evenings.
