We hope you enjoy looking around our website and that it will give you a flavour of the life and ministry of our church. We are a church made up of people of all ages and many different backgrounds who meet together to worship God and to serve him in the city and beyond. At Hereford Baptist Church you’ll be warmly welcomed, even if you have never been to church before, and we’d love to meet you at one of our Sunday services.

Welcome Jason, Catherine and Joel

Jason, Catherine & Joel
A large congregation met at Hereford Baptist Church on Sunday 12th July to induct the Rev. Jason Borlase as the new Youth Minister. Jason, his wife Catherine and baby son Joel have come to Hereford from Moreton Baptist Church, Wirral, the church which Jason attended while completing all his training.
Special guests at the service were Rev. Adrian Argile, Regional Minister of the Heart of England Baptist Association, who led the Induction Ceremony, and Dave Newton, Director of National Ministries for Youth for Christ, who gave the main address and also led a special Youth Event in the evening.

Congregation
Well over 200 people stayed for lunch after the morning’s Induction Service to share fellowship with Jason and his family. Also present were a number of representatives from other churches in Hereford, various youth organisations, City representatives and a large number of members from Moreton Baptist Church who all wished Jason well in his new position.

Taking Stock

Jason Borlase - Derek & Rob
It wasn’t long after the Induction Service that Youth Minister, Jason Borlase, had opportunity to take stock of his first few weeks at Hereford Baptist Church.
Taking Acts 16: 16-40 as his theme for his first Family Service Jason ‘volunteered’ two of our young people, namely ‘Derek’ and ‘Rob’, who had at an earlier opportunity given Jason false names, to demonstrate the bondages in which Paul and Silas found themselves in Philippi. Members of the congregation were also invited to make their own handcuffs.
