HBC - A Family Church

A Growing Family Church - Hereford Baptist Church is characterised by its good mix of ages. In our fellowship and mission activities we aim to cater for the different age groups as we seek to be the family of God. Whether you are young or old, married or single you are welcome to come and be part of our Church.

Easter Holiday Club

During the Easter Holidays, Hereford Baptist Church held a three-day special “Easter Holiday Chocolate Club” for children of Primary School age. Some 100 children signed up, with the biggest attendance on one day of 83.

A large number of volunteers spent many hours beforehand in preparation of all required material and in particular in the design and construction of Willy Wonka’s famous Chocolate machine. This machine was prepared in the church’s car park and finally assembled on the stage in the main church.

The three days were filled with a variety of activities ranging from action games to art classes and Bible stories. On the Sunday morning after the Holiday Club, during a Family Service, children showed some of the art they had done during the three days and performed some of their activities.

Church Hiking Group

Usually on a third Saturday of every month a group of church members and friends meet early in the morning in the church car park to share cars for the drive to an area within Herefordshire or surrounding counties that promises natural beauty and the chance to step out with vigour. A very significant factor of these walks is the chance to get to know other members and friends more closely.

There are many lovely spots that offer fantastic views across the countryside.
